Precious-metal catalysts, especially on ceramic supports covered with rapidly rising amounts of as scrap.
Der größte Teil davon sind Katalysatoren aus abgemeldeten und verschrotteten Kraftfahrzeugen. In Westeuropa wird bis zum 2010 mit mehr als 5 Mio. Katalysatoren pro Jahr aus Altfahrzeugen gerechnet. In diesen Katalysatoren sind erhebliche Mengen der Edelmetalle Platin, Palladium und Rhodium gebunden, deren Recycling von großer ökonomischer und ökologischer Bedeutung ist. Die Edelmetall-Beladungen und Wertinhalte einiger aktueller Autokatalysatoren haben je nach Bauart (Fahrzeugtyp) mit unterschiedlichen Edelmetall bestückt, wobei die Edelmetall(EM)-Beladung in Gramm pro Liter Katalysatorvolumen angegeben sind. |
